Admet eXpert 7601 – What Is This Adhesion Testing System and Why Does Inplex Use It?

Admet has been a trusted materials testing system manufacturer for over 25 years, and for good reason. They provide a variety of testing systems and full system retrofits for companies like General Electric and NASA.

‌The Admet eXpert 7601 joins the long list of high-quality Admet products. It is an adhesive and peel testing system with a compact table-top design. This adhesion testing system can perform a variety of materials testing functions, including tension, compression, and flexure tests.

‌The Admet eXpert 7601 has been carefully designed to pass all accuracy requirements with flying colors. This includes those set by ASTM, ISO, TLMI, and PSTC, plus a few other standards organizations. Quality assurance is no problem with this product.

‌‌Adjustability

Thanks to its collection of testing grips and fixtures, the Admet eXpert 7601 can easily be adjusted for different tests. Its features include 90-degree peel fixtures, loop tack fixtures, and grips for 180-degree and t-peel tests. All the fixtures are pinned to the machine, which means the system can be reconfigured quickly. There’s no need to buy multiple testing systems when the Admet eXpert 7601 can handle most of the common adhesion testing functions.

‌You have two options for conducting tests with the Admet eXpert 7601. You can either choose from a list of pre-designed methods or, if none of the built-in tests fully satisfy your requirements, you can instead design your own unique test.

‌‌Digital Controllers

This system comes with two options for digital controllers: the eP2 standalone controller and the PC-based MTESTQuattro controller.

‌The eP2 digital controller is a closed-loop servo controller used with many tension and compression machines. It is a presettable unit, which makes it easy to use even without training. Test results are displayed on the screen immediately after tests are completed. For extra security, the controller has password-protected supervisor/operator modes.

‌The MTESTQuattro controller is a PC-based application program. The control panel is easy to access and user-friendly. The data analysis library is continuously updated, and the data analysis tools allow users to compare the results from multiple tests on a single graph. Plus, you can export the data to common database programs.

‌Usages

Because of the wide range of configuration options and the high degree of accuracy, the Admet eXpert 7601 can be used to test many different products. For example, it is highly regarded for testing medical tape. Medical tape is tricky to design because it must be strong enough for bandages, but not so strong that it damages human skin. The Admet eXpert 7601 is capable of testing the peel strength of medical tape, which is why so many adhesive manufacturers use it in their evaluations.

‌The uses of the Admet eXpert 7601 aren’t limited to testing medical supplies. At Inplex, the Admet eXpert 7601 is used to perform tensile tests on polymer products. Many of Inplex’s plastic tubes are made with flexible polymers. These polymer tubes are resistant to extreme temperatures. Unlike steel, plastic doesn’t corrode over time, which makes the tubes very durable. These features make plastic tubing ideal for industries like oil drilling.

‌However, these polymer products must still be tested for quality assurance. That’s where the tensile tests with the Admet eXpert 7601 come in. With the Admet eXpert 7601, the flexible polymers can be examined to evaluate their tension and break capabilities. Only after the tubing has passed all testing procedures does it go to market.

‌Software

When performing tests with the Admet eXpert 7601, Inplex uses GaugeSafe communication software. GaugeSafe is a PC-based data exchange program. It is compatible with an array of different controllers and indicators, which is one reason why Inplex and similar companies use it.

‌By using a USB flash drive, GaugeSafe can transmit data through the device’s controller or indicator. It can also communicate directly through a USB cable. If you want to store data for future testing, you can do so on GaugeSafe. Alternatively, you can export the data to spreadsheet and database programs for further analysis.

Get Trusted Adhesion Testing Results

Admet eXpert 7601 is an excellent adhesive and peel testing system. It is adjustable enough to be used in many kinds of adhesion testing, compatible with several software and hardware devices, and meets all major accuracy requirements. That’s why Inplex uses it, and why you should feel comfortable using it, too.
